It’s One of those days that wasn’t working out. My blog ideas weren’t thought out, other matters in my businesses weren’t running smoothly, but If we are going to write something every day might as well talk about it.

Why did you start? What was the event or inspiration for the profession you would dedicate your life to? I hear this all the time. When things get tough remember your why.

Speaking to Creatives of all stages in their careers is one of my favorite things to do. Everyone has a different answer. Some struggle more than others to find success, but all have a reason to push on.

The greatest thing about being in a creative field is the level of love and pride that they have in that work. It’s not about vanity. Sitting with creatives they often mention how crazy lucky they are. They are lucky that they are to think and make ideas come to life. They fuel the innovation of the world. They get to dream and more importantly share that dream with the world.

We don’t always get to be on the biggest projects. Sometimes we are overworked and discouraged with our career trajectory. Think back to your why. Remember not only why you started, but think of how you think of the world. What can you do that will change the world.

It can be a small logo for a startup or designing the tallest skyscrapers, creativity is here to help the world, and it is what keeps this world moving around.

I’m writing this because we have bad days, weeks, even months, but creativity takes time to be appreciated. it takes time to be recognized. It takes time to bring or conceptions of the future today. Remember your why. Love what you do, and enjoy every day that you have the blessing of making our world a better place.
